Gentl And Hyers, Photographer, New York

Description

This striking portrait photograph by Gentl and Hyers captures a person holding a large, round artisanal loaf of bread entirely obscuring their head. The bread features intricately scored facial lines depicting eyes, nose, and lips, surrounded by a decorative scalloped crust pattern. The subject wears a voluminous white blouse detailed with elaborate lace trim along the cuffs and high collar. They are positioned behind a dark wooden surface against a textured neutral background. Soft, diffused lighting accentuates the organic textures of the flour-dusted crust and the delicate lace.
