Franck Hamel, Photographer, Paris

About

This striking still life photograph by Franck Hamel captures an irregularly shaped dark red heirloom tomato resting on a dark surface against a deep, shadowed background. The composition employs dramatic low-key lighting that highlights the glossy, undulating skin textures and natural creases of the produce. Subtle highlights trace the organic curves of the tomato, creating a moody and sculptural aesthetic. The minimalist arrangement focuses entirely on the unique form and rich pigmentation of the subject. A subtle photographer watermark is visible at the bottom of the frame.
