Description

This video piece titled Don’t Waste a Beat, created for The Shane Warne Legacy, presents an archival montage of archival photographs and vintage video footage. The visual sequence blends historical snapshots of Shane Warne with dramatic close-ups of a cricket ball impacting a glass pane and other textured sports footage. The aesthetic utilizes a dark, grainy, and low-fi treatment reminiscent of Super 8 or 16mm archival film stock, creating a nostalgic and intimate tone. The composition shifts between individual portraits, group photographs, and high-speed sports sequences with distinct vignette framing.
