Description
This black and white portrait by photographer Donavon Smallwood captures a woman seated outdoors on a rooftop in New York. The subject is framed compositionally through the structural elements of a piece of equipment in the foreground, adding depth to the scene. She wears a patterned top and belted trousers while looking upward with a thoughtful expression. Natural daylight illuminates the subject against an open outdoor environment. The monochrome treatment emphasizes the textures of her clothing and the surrounding surfaces.
