Description
This striking black and white photograph by Devin Allen captures a wide street scene in a snowy mountain town. Several pedestrians are silhouetted as they walk across the wet, dark asphalt road, flanked by multi-story buildings with snow-covered roofs and storefronts. String lights stretch diagonally across the bright sky above the thoroughfare, leading the eye toward distant wooded hills under a clear sky. The high-contrast monochromatic grading emphasizes the textures of the cracked pavement and the crisp white snow piled along the sidewalks. The composition offers an observational glimpse into daily life in a wintry alpine municipality.
