Dan Saelinger, Photographer, New York

About

This vivid studio still life by photographer Dan Saelinger presents a pair of pink quad roller skates decorated with colourful rainbow stripes, accompanied by a classic black boombox radio. The objects rest upon a square concrete slab set against an intensely saturated, solid orange backdrop. Small details include scattered pieces of chalk, a chalk drawing of a star, and a tiny patch of yellow flowers growing through a crack in the concrete. The lighting is clean and directional, casting subtle shadows and highlighting the tactile textures of the concrete and retro props.
