Joyce Kim, Photographer, Los Angeles

Description

This moody monochrome still life photograph by Joyce Kim captures a single cigarette resting inside a small ashtray positioned on a dark, textured tabletop. The low-key lighting creates deep shadows across the frame, emphasizing the stark contrast between the illuminated cigarette and the dark surroundings. The composition is minimal and quiet, focusing entirely on the simple objects placed within the dim environment.
