Crosscurrent Cecily Brown 2026

About

An expressive, gestural abstract painting is presented vertically against a white studio wall marked by subtle paint flecks. The artwork consists of dense, energetic brushstrokes in an earth-toned palette dominated by terracotta, ochre, cream, and muted green with sharp dark accents. The composition features tactile impasto and layered paint applications, illuminated under diffused, even light.
