Description

This striking night photograph by Bryan Sheffield captures a zebra mid-stride as it races across dark terrain under direct flash illumination. The harsh artificial light creates high contrast against the surrounding darkness, brightly illuminating the zebra's distinctive black and white striped coat. The foreground features patchy grass and dirt, while the deep background fades completely into shadow. The composition freezes the animal's dynamic motion with sharp clarity against the black void.
