Boogie, Photographer, New York

Description

This documentary photograph by Boogie captures a child curled up asleep on a low purple-textured couch inside a sparse room with exposed orange brick walls. A patterned decorative pillow covers the child's head and upper body while barefoot legs extend onto the cushion. The floor features a large intricately patterned oriental rug, and various bags, blankets, and household items are piled in the background. The lighting is direct and candid, characteristic of unvarnished documentary realism.
