Description

This portrait photograph by Bethany Mollenkof features a Black woman in her 30s with a calm expression, captured in close-up profile. She is wearing a bright yellow headscarf draped over her head and shoulders, which creates a striking visual contrast against the deep, dark background. The lighting is focused and dramatic, highlighting the contours of her face and the rich texture of the yellow fabric. The composition creates an intimate mood, emphasizing the subject against the shadowed environment.
