Bethany Mollenkof (she/her) is an accomplished photographer and director based in Los Angeles, renowned for her innovative storytelling that intricately weaves together themes of gender, culture, identity, and representation. With a vibrant and artistic lens, Mollenkof employs a thoughtful methodology that encompasses physical locations, archival research, and the oral and written narratives of individuals to create compelling connections between the past and present. A former staff photographer for the Los Angeles Times, Mollenkof's work has garnered significant acclaim, including her selection as a visiting Nieman Fellow at Harvard University in 2021. She is a proud member of several influential organizations, including Women Photograph, Diversify Photo, Authority Collective, and Free the Work. Her talent was further recognized in 2022 when she was named one of The 30: New and Emerging Photographers. Mollenkof holds a degree in photojournalism and art history from Western Kentucky University, where her passion for visual storytelling began to take shape.
