Amber Pinkerton, Photographer, London

Description

This striking portrait photograph by London-based photographer Amber Pinkerton captures two Black women posing against a vibrant, painterly blue sky backdrop dotted with white clouds. On the left, a woman wears a floral patterned two-piece swimsuit, a sparkling tiara, and a white sash reading Miss Black & Beautiful, while holding a large bouquet of mixed colorful flowers. Standing closely beside her on the right, the second woman wears a cream-colored, ruched one-piece swimsuit with thin straps. The composition is brightly lit with saturated tones, highlighting the textures of their swimwear and the natural arrangement of the bouquet against the surreal sky backdrop.
