Abiyasa Adiguna, Illustrator, London

Description

This digital illustration by London-based illustrator Abiyasa Adiguna depicts an underwater scene heavily impacted by plastic pollution. A sea turtle and various colourful fish swim amidst floating plastic bottles, disposable cups, straws, face masks, and fishing nets. The composition is divided horizontally, showing a silhouette of an industrial cityscape and trucks along the shoreline above the waterline. Below, murky greenish-blue water contains discarded rubbish settling near aquatic plants and corals on the ocean floor. The style is graphic with clean vector lines and a muted teal and earthy colour palette.
