W Magazine’s So Iconic project is a fashion editorial series that leans into a painterly, classical aesthetic. Shot by photographer Angelo Pennetta, the imagery features a variety of models—including Matilde Lucidi, Amedeo Mancini, Athiec Geng, Edna Karibwami, and George Anderson—posed against warm, textured studio backdrops that evoke architectural ruins and surreal landscapes. The visual approach utilizes soft light to emphasize intricate fabric textures, ranging from pleated silks to structured tailoring. Creative direction for the project was provided by Charles Levai and Kevin Tekinel, with fashion styling by Katie Grand under the guidance of Editor-in-Chief Sara Moonves. The production integrates hair styling by Claire Grech, makeup by Daniel Sallstrom, casting by Ashley Brokaw, and manicures by Chisato Yamamoto. The portraits combine clean, contemporary editorial compositions with nostalgic, raw tonal qualities.
