W Magazine’s feature, Behind The Scenes: Verde Visconti, is an editorial portrait series documenting an intimate look at the subject. The project highlights a contrast between outdoor, garden-based editorial imagery and minimalist, controlled studio compositions. Photographer Alasdair McLellan employs both natural light and high-contrast, low-key lighting to capture candid, documentary-style expressions. The fashion styling, managed by Derek Blasberg, emphasizes textures through knitwear and layered garments, complemented by clean hair styling by Tom Wright and makeup by Lynsey Alexander. The series utilizes both monochrome and warm, analogue-inspired color palettes to ground the fashion-focused narrative.
