Women Carry Things

Dec 2025
Vogue Ukraine explores the intersection of high fashion and the functional detritus of daily life in the editorial project Women Carry Things. Featuring model Wilda Rubin, the series captures a minimalist aesthetic through clean, high-key studio compositions that contrast structured, textured garments with everyday utilitarian objects. Each frame emphasizes form and material, leaning into an editorial style defined by soft, diffused lighting and stark, architectural backdrops. Styling by fashion editor Kristine Halken anchors the project, pairing sophisticated tailoring—such as oversized tweed coats, asymmetric leather dresses, and intricate pleated capes—with everyday items like stationery, electronics, and household goods. The visual narrative is supported by hair styling from Sayaka Otama, makeup by Kamila Vay, and manicured details by Sylvie Vacca, collectively maintaining a refined, minimalist polish across both domestic and studio settings.
