En Plein Air

En Plein Air for Vogue Ukraine serves as a masterclass in editorial minimalism, seamlessly blending the structured sophistication of luxury fashion with the organic, sun-drenched ease of outdoor lifestyle photography. Under the creative direction of Marta Bertman and the keen eye of fashion director Sam Ranger, the series leans into a refined, monochromatic aesthetic that feels both timeless and grounded. Model Freya Nutter anchors the narrative, moving effortlessly through a series of sun-drenched gardens and weathered stone courtyards that emphasize the tactical interplay between high-fashion silhouettes and raw, architectural environments. The collection utilizes a deliberate palette—shifting from crisp, clinical whites and soft pastel pinks to deep, textural navy and red knits—to explore the versatility of form. By harnessing the fluidity of natural light, the campaign achieves a cinematic, almost nostalgic atmosphere, further elevated by the use of 35mm film techniques that imbue the images with subtle grain and warmth. This production prioritizes a candid, relaxed energy, where clean tailoring is juxtaposed against the rugged, rustic backdrop of stone pillars and dense green foliage. Through the thoughtful casting by Evagria Sergeeva, the project feels less like a traditional fashion feature and more like an intimate, atmospheric study of texture, light, and modern elegance, perfectly capturing the spirit of a leisurely escape.
