Vogue Thailand presents Retro Splash, an editorial feature exploring avant-garde beauty aesthetics through a series of portrait compositions. Photographed by Rui Faria, the project leans into clean, high-contrast studio work that highlights detailed textures and experimental pigments. The imagery captures a range of styles, from tactile powder applications and shimmering metallic finishes to sculptural hair design. With creative direction overseeing the series, the project utilises beauty lighting and directional hard light to emphasise the interplay of colour and form across minimalist, neutral backdrops. The series features hair styling by Daniel Martin and makeup artistry by Megumi Matsuno, with casting by Dean Goodman and manicure work by Jessica Ciesco. The editorial direction is overseen by Editor-in-Chief Kullawit Laosuksri.
