Vogue Netherlands travels to Egypt for Back To Cairo, an evocative fashion editorial that captures the city’s architectural history alongside a contemporary high-fashion narrative. Photographed by Lachlan Bailey, the project utilizes analogue film and natural light to document model Imaan Hammam against the backdrop of bustling streets, rooftop skylines, and textured rustic interiors. Fashion editor and stylist Linda Gumus Gerritsen layers rich materials—from structured leather and animal prints to shaggy furs and metallic textures—to mirror the gritty, sepia-toned environment. With grooming led by hair stylist Hos Hounkpatin and makeup artist Irena Ruben, the visual execution leans into low-key chiaroscuro and golden hour warmth to establish a cinematic, timeless atmosphere.
