The 'Oui!' editorial for Vogue France reimagines bridal aesthetics through a contemporary, high-fashion lens. Photographer Carin Backoff and fashion editor Alastair McKimm anchor the series in a minimalist studio environment, stripping away traditional wedding tropes to focus on texture, silhouette, and movement. Model Angelina Kendall serves as the focal point, captured against clean, seamless backdrops that allow the intricate layering of tulle, lace, and structured tailoring to take precedence. The series leans into a sharp, direct lighting palette, utilizing both clean studio illumination and on-camera flash to cast defined shadows. The styling juxtaposes delicate bridal elements—such as veils, bows, and white roses—with unexpected pieces like oversized faux-fur jackets and layered hosiery.
