Balkan Boys is a fashion editorial series for ModMod Magazine that explores the intersection of coastal architecture and contemporary menswear. Photographed by Vincent van den Dries, the series follows model Luka Tesic through a variety of Mediterranean-inspired outdoor settings, from rocky shorelines to historic town squares. The imagery leans into a cinematic aesthetic, utilizing strong tonal contrast and natural light to emphasize the rich textures of the garments. Styling by Jan Bries anchors the narrative, pairing structured tailoring and shearling-collared outerwear with relaxed knitwear. The project makes frequent use of golden hour lighting and high-contrast monochrome treatments, creating a cohesive visual language that highlights the interplay between geometric concrete structures and organic coastal landscapes.
