Vanity Teen Magazine
MAGNETIC, AUTHENTIC, MODERN

Magnetic, Authentic, Modern serves as a masterclass in editorial fashion photography, capturing a sophisticated visual narrative for Vanity Teen Magazine. Through the lens of photographer Ismael Nebchi, the series leans into a refined aesthetic that bridges the gap between high-concept menswear and approachable lifestyle portraiture. Working in close collaboration with fashion editors Corinna Fusco and Kevin Lanoy, the project highlights the intricate textures of structured outerwear, from ornate ruffled collars to daring faux fur accents, all set against the muted, organic architecture of manicured garden landscapes. Art director Luca Imbimbo masterfully balances these opulent garments against a backdrop of neatly trimmed hedges, creating a tension between the rigid environment and the fluid, contemporary silhouettes worn by model Ali Latif. The visual language is defined by a consistent use of natural light, which elevates the portraits beyond traditional studio work by grounding them in a serene, autumnal atmosphere. With hair styling by Raynald Bernard providing a slicked-back, polished finish, the imagery maintains an intentional minimalism that allows the bold detailing—such as shimmering metallic fringe—to take center stage. Ultimately, this editorial campaign successfully synthesizes high-fashion styling with an authentic, candid spirit, proving that modern portraiture thrives when it embraces both structured composition and the soft, unpredictable qualities of outdoor light.
