V Magazine
V160 ISSUE

Jun 2026
For the V160 issue of V Magazine, photographer Alessandro Burzigotti leans into the essence of editorial minimalism to capture a compelling series of portraits that define modern luxury fashion. Working in close collaboration with fashion editor and stylist Nilo Akbari, the project serves as a masterclass in clean, focused visual storytelling. By stripping back distractions in favor of high-key lighting and seamless studio backdrops, the team places the full weight of the imagery on the intricate textures of the garments—from the voluminous layers of tulle and structured wool coats to delicate knitwear and sheer ruffles. The project features a dynamic ensemble of talent, including Miriam Petche, Nico Parker, Viola Prettejohn, and Holly Humberstone, each portrayed with a directness that bridges the gap between high-fashion editorial and raw, personal portraiture. With grooming meticulously executed by hair stylist James Catalano and makeup artist Mee Kee, the aesthetic remains grounded in natural light and studio strobe techniques that honor both the subjects and the saturated color palettes of the collection. The resulting work avoids unnecessary artifice, instead channeling a sophisticated, refined energy that celebrates the interplay between sharp silhouettes and soft, contemplative expressions. This collection successfully reinforces the magazine's long-standing authority in the industry, proving that when the composition is distilled to its most essential elements, the impact of the fashion is undeniable.
