Toyota explores the intersection of personal heritage and the open road in the spot 'Present from the Past.' The narrative follows a young woman connecting with her grandmother's history through vintage photographs and a handwritten letter, juxtaposed against her journey across diverse terrains. The commercial transitions from the cool, desaturated winter tones of a snowy town to the golden, warm hues of a canyon sunset. Utilizing a live-action technique, the film captures intimate close-ups of the protagonist as she navigates between the interior of a pickup truck and the landscape beyond. The production was helmed by the agency Saatchi & Saatchi USA with production house Imperial Woodpecker. Post-production and VFX were managed by Trafik and Framestore LA, with sound design provided by Lime Studios.
