The Rakish Gent features actor William Franklyn Miller in a series of editorial portraits that explore contemporary menswear through a classic, high-contrast lens. The project leans into a moody aesthetic, defined by its monochromatic palette and a deliberate focus on fabric texture and form. Photographer Dean Ryan Mcdaid employs a signature gritty approach, utilising analogue film techniques and chiaroscuro lighting to shape the series. Each frame is composed against minimalist or mottled studio backdrops, allowing the intricate details of the layered knitwear, embellished jackets, and tailored ensembles to anchor the visual narrative.
