LEATHER JACKETS

Apr 2026
Telva transforms the quintessential leather jacket into an exploration of architectural form and textural complexity within this striking fashion editorial. Through a series of sharp, deliberate compositions, the project redefines the garment beyond its utilitarian roots, positioning it as the centerpiece of modern, high-end design. With creative imagery lensed by photographer Javier Biosca, the series employs a rigorous minimalist aesthetic, relying on clean studio backdrops and a sophisticated interplay between studio strobe and natural light to elevate the subject. The editorial features model Lara Mullen, whose poised and confident presence provides the necessary focus to anchor the varied styling, ranging from sleek, wet-look hair and bold color accents to complex layering. Makeup artist David López complements the visual narrative with a polished, editorial finish that accentuates the structural silhouettes and tactile qualities of the leather pieces. The project makes frequent use of portrait techniques and chiaroscuro lighting to delve into the material details, emphasizing the sheen, folds, and unique grains of the jackets. By oscillating between high-contrast black-and-white photography and saturated color studies, the production captures a versatile, fashion-forward perspective that feels both timeless and contemporary. This work serves as a masterful study in styling and texture, demonstrating how thoughtful lighting and precise composition can render classic fashion staples into compelling pieces of visual storytelling.
