About

T: The New York Times Style Magazine presents A Fresh Coat, a fashion editorial project that documents seasonal layering and structured tailoring. Captured by photographer Bilal El Kadhi, the series leans into an editorial perspective, moving between moody, low-key chiaroscuro lighting and clean, bright natural light. Fashion editor and stylist Sasha Kelly focuses on texture, pairing trench coats and structured blazers with knitwear and detailed layering. Casting director Nicola Kast features models Abdou Ndoye and Mumin Jangani in both urban street settings and intimate, cinematic environments. The work utilises analogue film techniques to highlight the tactile quality of the textiles.
