Cold Matter is a high-fashion editorial series for Spaghetti Magazine, set against the stark, rugged landscapes of an alpine environment. The project leans into earthy, tactile textures, pairing the refinement of oversized tailoring, heavy knits, and fur accents with the raw, rustic backdrop of timber stacks, rocky terrain, and dense pine forests. Photographer Alberto Alicata captures a series of portraits and full-length studies that place the model in conversation with both nature and local fauna. Through a lens of soft, diffused natural light, the imagery explores a visual juxtaposition between high-end fashion and the utilitarian elements of mountain life, including livestock, agricultural artifacts, and weathered stonework. The editorial aesthetic is anchored by detailed makeup artistry from Filippo Ferrari, maintaining a clean and cohesive atmosphere throughout.
