Rodarte’s Fall/Winter 2024 lookbook presents a theatrical exploration of romance and tactile opulence. Photographed by Todd Cole and styled by Shirley Kurata, the collection leans into a painterly aesthetic, grounding the garments within a moody, staged interior defined by deep red velvet drapery and classical still-life elements. The imagery utilizes chiaroscuro lighting to elevate the intricate textile work, from structured velvet bodices and layered tulle to delicate butterfly appliques and metallic silhouettes. With hair by Nikki Providence and makeup by Uzo Ukaeje, the project captures a high-fashion, editorial mood that draws heavily on Renaissance-inspired portraiture and chiaroscuro techniques.
