Practical Magic is a fashion editorial series for Elle Mexico, showcasing a series of portraits that lean into moody, cinematic aesthetics. Photographed by Jesús Soto Fuentes, the project utilizes low-key lighting and chiaroscuro techniques to highlight sculptural silhouettes and rich, dark tones. The series features model Katya Plotnikova in a variety of ensembles, ranging from tailored eveningwear and structured denim to detailed lace gowns. With makeup artistry by Ana G de V, the styling emphasizes a raw, artistic sensibility through bold, flushed features and deep lip tones. The minimalist, atmospheric studio setting allows the interplay of shadow and texture to remain the primary focus of the work.
