Pingu: Sound Effect (1)

Feb 2026

Pingu’s latest work, Sound Effect, leans into the tactile nature of traditional stop-motion animation to bring the iconic characters into a familiar domestic setting. The production captures the interaction between clay models within kitchen and living room environments, maintaining the distinct physical movement characteristic of the medium. Executed with a raw, cinematic sensibility, the project foregrounds the craft behind the character-driven narrative. The animation focuses on the tangible weight of physical objects and the classic, humorous physical comedy synonymous with the franchise.
