Description
Pingu takes to the ice in this animated short, Ref, which reimagines the iconic character as a referee for a series of high-stakes hockey matches. The project leans into a nostalgic 1980s aesthetic, utilizing traditional stop-motion claymation to bring the rink and its playful inhabitants to life. Developed in collaboration with LBB Admin, the production maintains the series' characteristic hand-crafted figures and miniature set design. The vertical-format sequence emphasizes the humorous, kinetic energy of the sport, staying true to the established visual language of the franchise.
