Ebony x Crocs x Nylon FR

Jun 2026
The Ebony x Crocs x Nylon FR collaboration is a masterclass in high-fashion editorial storytelling, where the boundary between luxury streetwear and conceptual art dissolves. Under the creative direction of Nicolas Dureau, the project transforms the ubiquitous Crocs silhouette into a luxury fashion object, framing it within a series of meticulously curated environments. Photographers Alex Brunet and Olga Varova lean into a gritty, industrial aesthetic, utilizing high-intensity flash and high-contrast lighting to create a raw, tactile energy that feels both nostalgic and distinctly modern. The campaign weaves together a narrative of urban rebellion, juxtaposing soft textures like soapy suds and sheer mesh against the hard lines of vintage convertibles and concrete garages. Technique-wise, the work utilizes a mix of crisp studio strobe precision and the immediacy of instant film, with Polaroid-style frames providing an intimate, personal touch. The styling is intentionally eclectic, layering metallic accents, military-inspired silhouettes, and intricate hardware to elevate the casual footwear into the realm of high-end avant-garde fashion. By framing the models against raw backgrounds, the team creates a compelling dialogue between the mundane and the aspirational. This project exemplifies how intentional art direction and varied photographic techniques can reshape brand perception, turning functional clogs into essential editorial accessories that command attention through texture, color contrast, and bold stylistic choices.
