Urban Solitude is a fashion editorial series produced for Numero Netherlands, captured by photographer Stockton Johnson. The project leans into a moody, cinematic aesthetic, framing subjects against the backdrop of nocturnal cityscapes and grit-filled urban environments. Technically driven by high-contrast monochrome imagery and low-key lighting, the work utilizes flash and chiaroscuro techniques to heighten the structural details of the garments. The series integrates a range of textured, avant-garde pieces, from shaggy feather jackets to structured knitwear, set against the ambient bokeh of street lights and metropolitan architecture. Hair styling by Erin Piper Herschleb and makeup artistry by Charlotte Willer complement the sophisticated, reflective quality of the subjects.
