Serenity is a fashion editorial series for Numero Netherlands, captured by photographer Daniel Sars. The project leans into a documentary aesthetic, featuring raw, tactile environments that range from rustic stable yards to industrial locker rooms. Through a consistent monochrome palette, the series explores themes of intimacy and connection between subjects, utilizing natural light and high-contrast grading to emphasize textures in the architecture and wardrobe. The editorial work features models Sakua Kambong and Marjan Jonkman in a variety of candid, observational settings. By pairing human subjects with rural elements like horses and outdoor courtyards, the project builds a grounded atmosphere that prioritizes moody, authentic compositions.
