SELCOUTH is a high-concept fashion editorial produced for Numero Netherlands. The series explores the intersection of avant-garde couture and industrial surrealism, featuring sculptural garments that range from reflective metallic gowns to intricate pieces constructed from technical components like audio cables and automotive hardware. The project is defined by a moody, experimental aesthetic that leans heavily into low-key lighting and dramatic, high-contrast studio setups. Through a series of dynamic poses, photographer Calvin Pausania and stylist Amber Aste anchor the narrative in a clean yet raw environment, with model Sokhna Cisse central to the compositions. Technically, the work utilizes dramatic shadows and directional lighting to emphasize the architectural lines of the clothing and the industrial surfaces of the floating metallic props. The imagery employs clean gradients and desaturated color palettes to maintain a precise, sculptural focus across the entire editorial.
