Captured for Numero Netherlands, ALEK is a sweeping fashion editorial that sets high-concept, avant-garde tailoring against the raw, arid backdrop of a desert landscape. The project features model Alek Deng, whose expressive presence anchors a series of compositions that balance structural minimalism with natural textures. Photographer and creative director Bruno Unikowsky utilizes high-contrast monochrome and desaturated palettes to emphasize the sculptural silhouettes of the garments, from exaggerated architectural shoulder pads to voluminous tulle and pleated forms. The imagery leans into a narrative style, incorporating analogue film techniques and natural light to document a cinematic, moody mood across rocky terrain and sandy shores. Creative oversight was provided by Editor-in-Chief Timotej Letonja and Head of Editorial Content Jana Letonja, rounding out the vision for this expansive series.
