Numéro Istanbul
Persona

May 2026
Persona, the latest fashion campaign for Numéro Istanbul, serves as a masterclass in editorial minimalism and the power of high-fashion portraiture. By stripping away the noise of elaborate location sets, the project leans into the purity of the studio environment, utilizing precise studio strobe and natural light setups to highlight the structural integrity of the garments. Under the expert lens of photographer Royal Gilbert, the campaign captures a series of dynamic poses that emphasize both the intricate texture of embroidered silks and the sharp, architectural lines of leather tailoring. Fashion director Ayça Elkap and stylist Serena Pompei curate an aesthetic that oscillates between high-contrast monochrome portraits and vivid color-blocked imagery, with model Leanne De Haan anchoring the series through a range of transformative, performance-driven expressions. The technical execution—spanning from low-key chiaroscuro lighting to crisp, even studio illumination—allows the interplay of silhouette and fabric to take center stage. With hair styling by Eduardo Bravo providing a voluminous, textured counterpoint to the clean, graphic compositions, Persona reads as an exploration of individual identity within the framework of luxury fashion houses. The campaign successfully synthesizes elements of traditional portraiture with a modern, avant-garde editorial sensibility, resulting in a cohesive collection of imagery that feels both timeless and aggressively current, celebrating the intersection of form, color, and high-fashion craftsmanship.
