UNTAMED

Dec 2025
In the latest feature for Mojeh Magazine, the UNTAMED editorial project masterfully explores the intersection of high-fashion sensibility and raw, tactile expression. Photographer Domenico Petralia leans into a sophisticated studio aesthetic, utilizing a mix of cinematic lighting and high-contrast studio strobe setups to emphasize the luxurious interplay of diverse materials. From voluminous, high-pile faux-fur coats to sleek, polished leather and reflective metallic foil backdrops, the visual narrative is built entirely upon texture and silhouette. Fashion Editor and Stylist Nadia Bonalumi curates a wardrobe that balances architectural structure with fluid movement, ensuring that every garment—whether it is a rhinestone-encrusted headscarf or a tailored jacket—acts as a sculptural element within the frame. Complementing this vision, hair stylist Erisson Musella creates deliberate, flowing waves that lend a sense of natural dynamism to the otherwise rigid and controlled portrait environments. The project avoids excessive artifice, opting instead for a crisp, minimalist approach that directs the viewer’s focus to the intricate detailing of the clothing. By oscillating between low-key chiaroscuro techniques and clean, even illumination, UNTAMED offers a compelling study in contemporary luxury, proving that when the background is stripped away to pure reflection or deep, solid shadows, the power of fashion editorial photography rests squarely on the conversation between light, surface, and form.
