Captured against the sun-drenched backdrop of a Mediterranean coastal village, Last Summer is a fashion editorial series produced for Marie Claire Czech Republic. Photographer Leire Cavia and stylist Alex Montoya lean into a nostalgic, sun-soaked aesthetic, documenting model Estrella Gomez amidst weathered stone architecture, classical columns, and tranquil seaside harbors. The series features a tactile mix of structured tailoring, sheer mesh knits, and voluminous textures, all illuminated by the crisp, high-contrast light of the region. Many of the compositions embrace a raw, cinematic quality, utilizing analogue film borders and varied exposures to heighten the sense of a lingering, season-ending narrative. Throughout the work, natural light acts as a primary framing device, emphasizing the interplay between the organic stone landscapes and contemporary silhouettes.
