Mando
Sniff Bert's Bits - BTS
Aug 2026
In a refreshingly candid departure from the high-gloss polish typically associated with the fragrance and beauty industry, the BTS campaign for Mando's Sniff Bert's Bits captures the tension between high-concept art and raw, unscripted reality. Shot within the stark confines of a minimalist museum hall, the piece leans into the jarring interplay between brutalist-inspired architecture and the playful, uninhibited performance of the talent on set. This documentary-style approach strips away the veneer of a traditional commercial, utilizing natural light and live-action techniques to expose the mechanics of the creative process. By framing the model on a raised circular platform against sweeping concrete walls, the production forces a dialogue between the solemnity of the space and the irreverent, lifestyle-driven nature of the Mando deodorant product. The agency MIRIMAR brings a sharp, ironic edge to the direction, while the production house FOX DEN masterfully captures the kinetic movement of the shoot. With sound design by Eleven and John Merikoski, the atmosphere feels tactile and immediate. This project succeeds because it prioritizes transparency, leaning into the cinematic quality of a set in transition. It serves as a masterclass in how to maintain brand authority while inviting the audience behind the curtain, ultimately transforming a standard promotional campaign into a compelling, fly-on-the-wall observation of creative execution at scale.
