L'Officiel Italia
Haute Dreaming

Feb 2026
Haute Dreaming, a striking fashion editorial for L'Officiel Italia, masterfully navigates the tension between ethereal luxury and raw industrial decay. Under the creative vision of fashion director Giulio Martinelli, the project defines a sophisticated aesthetic that leans into editorial minimalism while embracing the high-contrast drama of a cinematic visual language. The series features model Claire Delozier, whose versatile presence grounds the avant-garde silhouettes—ranging from voluminous feathered gowns to structural, ruffled couture—against the brutalist backdrop of weathered concrete and peeling paint. The execution relies on a restrained, cool-toned color palette that allows the tactile complexity of the garments to command attention. Technique plays a crucial role in the narrative, with soft light and chiaroscuro lighting styles used to emphasize the sharp, graphic lines of the clothing while maintaining a moody, atmospheric depth. Expert artistry from makeup artist Lloyd Simmonds, who utilizes bold, dark crimson lips to anchor the portraits, and hair stylist Mayu Morimoto, who leans into clean, blunt-cut bobs and icy blue hues, further polishes the project’s surreal edge. By pairing delicate diamond-dusted pieces and intricate embroidery with the rugged, desaturated reality of the environment, Haute Dreaming succeeds as a compelling study in contemporary luxury, proving that true elegance thrives most vividly when juxtaposed against the unapologetic texture of the past.
