L'Officiel Hommes Italia
Vietnam Escape

Mar 2026
L'Officiel Hommes Italia invites readers on a visual journey with Vietnam Escape, a sophisticated fashion editorial that masterfully juxtaposes high-end luxury menswear against the raw, tactile reality of local environments. Captured through the lens of photographer Tassili Calatroni, the project serves as a masterclass in travel-focused editorial fashion photography, where the vibrant, chaotic streets of Vietnam provide an atmospheric backdrop for contemporary design. Under the expert eye of Fashion Director and Stylist Giulio Martinelli, model Jun Young Hwang navigates diverse settings—from misty mountainous pavilions to neon-lit urban alleyways—showcasing a wardrobe that bridges the gap between structured tailoring and relaxed, travel-ready silhouettes. The shoot leans into editorial minimalism while utilizing natural light to accentuate the textures of mustard coats, cognac leather, and linen suits. By integrating cinematic techniques such as low-key, chiaroscuro lighting and candid, lifestyle-oriented staging, the team creates a narrative that feels both intimate and expansive. The result is a seamless fusion of heritage architecture and modern style, where the inclusion of local market scenes and everyday details adds layers of authenticity. With casting by Carlo Savoldi and grooming by Giuseppe Lorusso, Vietnam Escape successfully avoids the trap of travel-as-prop, instead delivering a cohesive aesthetic that feels deeply rooted in the interplay between high fashion and the lived-in, global landscape.
