L'Officiel Hommes Italia
The Cult

Jun 2026
In The Cult, an evocative fashion editorial for L'Officiel Hommes Italia, the creative team strips away the superfluous to explore the intersection of raw identity and high-end luxury. Captured through the lens of photographer Carlos Teixeira, the series leans into a moody, sophisticated aesthetic that favors stark minimalism over elaborate production. Each portrait is anchored by a dark, monochromatic studio background, utilizing precise studio strobe and low-key chiaroscuro lighting to elevate the architectural structure of the garments. The project masterfully juxtaposes the polished precision of tailored double-breasted coats and leather jackets with the vulnerable, human element of its subject, model Leandro da Silva. Guided by the editorial vision of Giampietro Baudo alongside the sharp styling of Giulia Martinelli and Manuel Angel Mendez Diaz, the visuals transform classic menswear staples into a study of texture and shadow. The deliberate use of high-contrast black and white photography enhances the cinematic quality of the work, emphasizing the intricate details of fabric and the subtle, ink-marked skin of the subject. By balancing elegant suiting with raw, distressed leather and casual layering, The Cult captures a confident silhouette that feels both timeless and distinctly contemporary. It is a refined exercise in editorial minimalism, where every shadow serves a purpose, grounding the subjects in a sense of deliberate, contemplative poise that defines the modern luxury fashion landscape.
