Le Mile Magazine’s German Angst project is an editorial fashion series that explores the interplay between theatricality and minimalism. Photographed by Anastasia and Sasha Laukart, the work employs low-key chiaroscuro lighting and a monochromatic palette to emphasize the architectural lines and heavy textures of the featured tailoring and avant-garde garments. The imagery channels a cinematic mood through stage-bound settings, utilizing deep red curtains and dimly lit theatre environments as a backdrop. By leaning into nostalgic, analogue-style film techniques, the photography creates a stark, solemn atmosphere that highlights the interplay of shadow and form across structured grey suits, voluminous gowns, and sculptural silhouettes.
