Le Figaro
Escapade

Mar 2026
For their Escapade project, Le Figaro delivers a masterclass in atmospheric storytelling, capturing the essence of a wandering soul through a lens of timeless sophistication. This editorial campaign, brought to life through the collaborative vision of photographer Zeb Daemen and fashion editor Loyc Falque, transcends traditional fashion photography to explore a narrative of travel, leisure, and quiet contemplation. By anchoring the series in a distinctively architectural landscape—where minimalist white walls and weathered textures serve as the backdrop for journey—the project leans into a narrative of departure and arrival. The visual execution relies heavily on the evocative power of analogue film and cinematic composition, using natural light to carve out the subject's features and emphasize the tactile quality of the structured, tailored garments. With Arnaud de Beer as the central talent, the images channel a sense of pensive introspection, blending high-end fashion with the candid energy of a traveler in transit. Supported by the precise hair styling of Benedicte Cazau-Beyret and casting by Timoer Nulens, the series maintains a cohesive, monochromatic aesthetic that feels both classical and contemporary. Each portrait functions as a deliberate vignette, where the interplay of light, shadow, and geometric design creates a cinematic stillness, ultimately defining Escapade as a thoughtful study of modern wanderlust and elevated editorial minimalism.
