Justsmile Magazine marks the centenary of Fendi with 'What We Carry Forward,' an expansive fashion editorial for Issue 7. The project explores the Fendi FW25 collection through a series of studio-based portraits and character-driven vignettes. Photographer Clay Stephen Gardner captures the collection’s focus on tactile layering and structured tailoring, set against minimalist, neutral studio backgrounds that emphasize the interplay of textures. The visual narrative, curated by fashion editor and stylist Marcus Correa, leans into clean lines and deliberate composition. The series moves between monochromatic studies and warm-toned imagery, utilizing techniques such as analogue film and soft natural light to highlight the intricate lace, wool, and leather details inherent in the season’s apparel. Across the editorial, the imagery maintains a polished aesthetic that balances contemporary tailoring with vintage-inspired furniture and subtle styling accessories. Creative production for the feature was led by Shay Johnson, with casting by Aymeric. Grooming for the project was provided by hair stylist E Williams and makeup artist Mitch Yoshida.
