Vanguard Magazine’s in ISOLATION is a series of editorial portraits that explore contemporary tailoring through a minimalist lens. Photographed by Ahmed Khan, the project leans into a moody, cinematic aesthetic, alternating between high-contrast monochrome and earthy, desaturated tones. The series utilizes soft, directional lighting to accentuate the textures of layered garments, ranging from structured utility jackets to wide-leg trousers. Set against a mix of rumpled paper backdrops, textured fabric, and rugged outdoor landscapes, the imagery maintains a clean, formal composition. Techniques such as analogue film processing and low-key chiaroscuro lighting are used to cultivate a deliberate, painterly atmosphere across the editorial spreads.
