The Crown Chakra, a striking collaborative project for Human Shift, redefines the intersection of luxury fashion and spiritual symbolism through a powerful series of editorial portraits. Under the creative vision of art director Stina Daag and captured by the lens of photographer Rudi Lewis, the campaign strips away excess to focus on the human form as a vessel for the divine. The project leans into avant-garde aesthetics, utilizing elaborate, sculptural headpieces—ranging from organic floral arrangements and found materials to metallic, holographic, and jewel-encrusted crowns—to signify personal sovereignty. By balancing high-contrast black and white photography with soft, ethereal natural light, the visuals create an intimate, cinematic atmosphere that centers on the subjects' contemplative expressions. Casting director Angus Munro brings together a diverse ensemble of models, whose unique features and personal body art are further elevated by the deliberate set design of Claude Neron, which employs minimalist backdrops to ensure the focus remains entirely on the interplay between skin and ornament. With the expert support of hair stylist Celine de Cruz and makeup artist Rebecca Davenport, the work explores a profound narrative of identity and resilience. Techniques such as long exposure and chiaroscuro lighting add texture and mystery, resulting in a cohesive, stylized aesthetic that feels both raw and regally refined, perfectly anchoring the brand within the luxury fashion space.
